Fun for the Fourth!

Garrett, Gavin and I headed to St. Simon's Island for a fun 4th of July. Gavin didn't think the fireworks were very fun... we had to leave early, but at least we beat the traffic!

Long time coming...

So it's been some time since I last posted. Many things got in the way. Wedding celebrations, starting daycare with Gavin, my mom going back to Arkansas after taking care of Gavin for his first year...

Lots to reflect on. Gavin is, straight up, a little man now. Walking and talking and waving goodbye and hello. It makes me sad that I miss so much of it being at work.

Even though working full time is a burden every day (all I think about is getting home sometimes), I am grateful that it gives me perspective. That when I AM able to be with my kids all day, I won't take a second for granted. Gavin is a miracle. Every day is an adventure, and life for him is always exciting. I want to share that with him.

Spring!

It's almost Spring here - we've had some beautiful days! Garrett, Gavin and I went up to Hilton Head for President's Day weekend. We had one nice day of sun and then clouds, but it was great fun. Gavin is also loving being outside as the weather warms up!

home and settling in

Gavin and Garrett are really getting to know one another... Right now they're downstairs hanging out with NO DRAMA about mom being upstairs. Victory for a kid who just went through an intense bout of separation anxiety. Happy January!
